Nutritional yeast is a deactivated yeast, originating from beet molasses and sugarcane, and is actually a vitamin-packed protein!  It has a nutty, cheesy flavor and is often used to imitate cheese in vegan dishes, thicken sauces and dressings, and it’s used to increase nutrients since it’s filled with B vitamins!
